Relevant Work Experience :

Afshin Fassihi is a Professor in medicinal chemistry at Isfahan University of Medical Science since 2015. He graduated as a PharmD in 1995 and then as a PhD in medicinal chemistry in 2003 from the same university. During the PhD course he joined the Prof. Edward E Knaus research group at Alberta University, Canada, to develop his PhD research. In 2003, he started to work as a post-doctoral fellow in Prof Knaus research group for one year. He was a visiting scientist in Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo, Canada in 2012 and a member of the BIO-HPC, UCAM, Murcia, Spain in 2014. His research interest is mainly focused on the design and development of novel anti-HIV-1 agents.
