The majority of my research projects has focused on the newest techniques and methods such as Lean Management, Bench-marking, Process Management, Process Mapping, and Strategic Management required in health care sectors in order to improve the processes and services for patients and other clients. In this way, I have done many studies in the Health Information Technologies such as Mobile-health, Smart wearable technologies, Smart-beds in ICU, RFID and Wireless Sensors Network in ICU. I am an energetic and innovative team player, where I have added value to my organization. Also, I have collaborated in developing and revising the curriculum of HIM and Medical Records in undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate levels and make them updated according to community needs.My motivation in teaching was and is to empower my students to become leaders within their field. I helped them to have collaboration, critical thinking, and communication skills. This strategy was led to the majority of my students becoming key persons in their occupations. I have written about 80 articles and 6 books about different aspects of Health Information Management and Health InformationTechnology. I have done Post-doctorate in the University of Toronto, Centre for Research in Healthcare Engineering from 2010-2011. In 2016-2017, I have done a research project that entitled Drawing Patient Flow Map in the ED in the Humber River Hospital in Toronto. The Humber River Hospital (HRH) is North America’s first digital hospital, that it was designed and built on three core principles; Lean, Green and Digital. The ED of this hospital was selected for sampling to identify the patient's care-flow through benchmarking and process mapping methods. Five maps were drawn for the care-flow process for patients in the ED. Now, I am going to draw process map in command center at Humber River Hospital in Toronto.
