Relevant Work Experience :

All these areas are addressed in our work on dietary assessment is based on the need to: Investigate diet- health relationship, Identify population groups at greatest risk, Assess exposure to foods and dietary constituents related to chronic disease risks, Formulate food and nutrition policies to reduce those risks, Select appropriate nutrition intervention  programs, Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of those programs, Address issues of food security at various levels, Estimate exposure to contaminants, Determine group compliance with dietary guidelines. Research aimed at better understanding of cognitive and communication processes related to assessing food intake. Development of improved approaches to identifying and minimizing bias and other sources of  error in dietary assessment measurements, Evaluation and improvement of methods for estimating portion sizes, Development of more rapid and cost- effective methods for collecting  and analyzing food intake data, Development, updating and expansion of food composition databases, Development and evaluation of instruments for measuring  dietary data and Identification and evaluation of the use of biochemical, anthropometric, and functional measurements for validation and interpretation of dietary assessments.
