Dr. med. Mohammad Reza Sharbafchi is a psychiatrist and holds a fellowship in Psychosomatic Medicine and Psycho-Oncology from Freiburg University, Germany. He has been an assistant professor of psychiatry at Isfahan University of Medical Sciences, Iran since 2014. His interest mainly focuses on Psychosomatic Medicine, Psycho-Oncology, and Palliative Care. He is head of psycho-oncology and pain clinic in a university oncology hospital in Isfahan, and head of the department of psycho-oncology and spiritual care in a non-governmental national cancer control center (MACSA). He teaches various subjects on psycho-oncology, including breaking bad news and pain management in related courses for the training of trainers offered by the Iran Ministry of Health and Medical Education.
